2009 Summer Studies
Rethink Church Rethink Discipleship
With all of the changes in our world and in our lives today, we have a unique opportunity to consider who we are as a church and who we are as Disciples of Christ in this day and time. "Rethink Church" is a new communications and evangelistic initiative for the United Methodist Church, and we’ll kick off our study with an overview of this exciting campaign. As the weeks follow, our topics will include: Rethink Church/Rethink Discipleship: "Relevant and Authentic," "Congregational Discipleship," and "Personal Discipleship." Make plans to join us!
Summer Studies are a combined adult Sunday school class held at 9:45am in the Sanctuary.

Welcome Connection
The mission of the Welcome Connection is to Intentionally nurture a commitment to hospitality by responding to our guests before, during and after each visit and helping new members become active and involved in St. Stephen, helping find their place in community through small groups.
Our goal is for St. Stephen to be a model of welcoming and we really need YOUR HELP to achieve this goal! Specifically, we need volunteers for roles that address current needs, but also new positions that will take us to the next level to welcome guests and engage new members to find a place to serve at St. Stephen. Click here to download a list of needs from the Welcome Connection.
For more information or to help, contact Hilary Davidson.

Stewardship Response 2009
If you haven’t turned in your response cards with your commitments for the 2009-10 fiscal year, please get those in to the church so we can plan our budget and programs for the next year. Our ability to program for the coming year is reliant upon the level of giving that is pledged. If you need an additional response card, you may pick one up at the church, call the church office, or download here.

Our Mission
The mission of St. Stephen United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. We welcome guests into our church, share with them the good news of Jesus Christ, prepare people for ministry, and send forth persons into mission in the world.
