Adult Classes and Ministries
  • Acts - Journey Through the Bible series – Join associate pastor, Tom Schnitzlein, in an 11 week Bible study of one of his favorite books of the Bible, The Acts of the Apostles. 1st week is introductory lecture and books are $8. We’ll look at what the text says, what it meant to its first readers (including historical and cultural settings), what noted scholars have to say about it, and practical life application for us today (duplicate class offered Thursday mornings at 10:45).
  • MAGI (Methodists Applying Gifts Intentionally) Workshops – sign up for one of two Wednesday evening workshops (a workshop consists of three consecutive Wednesday sessions 6-8pm) to discover your spiritual gifts, personal style and passions; then connect to the ministries that match your personalized profile! (See the MAGI page for more info)
  • The Heart of Christianity: Rediscovering a Life of Faith, by Marcus J. Borg – Bill Cole continues to lead this fascinating theological reflection of Marcus Borg’s work.

    • Budgeting 101: Would you like to own your own home, take a dream vacation, or even retire one day?  Planning for this starts now, and step one is setting up your budget. Come learn the basics of setting up and managing your budget Wednesday, Jan. 28, 6:30-7:30pm.
    • Credit 102: Find out about good and bad debt, and why it makes a difference.  Class meets Wednesday, February 11, 6:30-7:30pm.
    • Estate Planning 201: Learn about wills, trusts and estates from professionals in the business. Class will meet in March (TBA).

Or come and learn how to crochet and/or knit. Contact Barbara Phillips at 704-362-0845 for more information.
