Our Mission
As a family of followers of Jesus Christ we invite all to celebrate God and God’s grace through worship; grow in understanding God’s love through Biblical study and hands-on learning; nurture and impact one another and the community through intentional acts of service; and teach and guide the next generation through example.

We invite you to worship God, learn God’s story, deepen your faith, grow as a follower of Jesus Christ, make friends with other Christians and receive the tools to take the love of Christ into the world. Our mission is to be and make disciples of Jesus Christ and we invite you to join us in it. You can learn more by asking any member of our church staff or our church family, or by browsing the pages of this website. All of our ministries and programs are included on our online Calendar. These happen year round, through the week and include all ages – children, youth, adults, and seniors.

Each quarter, we offer a two-session introductory class designed to answer your questions and help you orient to our congregational life. See our Adult Programming page for more information about this class and when it's next offered.

The primary reason we come together as a family of God is to worship. At St. Stephen, we have worship services on Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 11:15. Dress at both services ranges from casual to suit and tie. (Note that our summer worship schedule, in July & August, is different.)

At all services we worship by reading the Bible, preaching, singing and listening to Christian music, and celebrating Holy Communion regularly. We observe the seasons of the Christian year, along with occasional services of healing, baptism, special song services, and covenant reaffirmations. Church members of all ages help us lead our worship.

Children are always welcome at all of our worship services and are encouraged to participate fully in worship. Worship packets for children are available outside each worship area. Nursery is provided during all worship services for infants and children through age 4.


Holy Grounds is St. Stephen’s Sunday morning gathering place. It’s a welcoming, relaxing place to connect with one another on Sunday mornings, while having coffee and light refreshments. Come to room 8½ (near the gym), check out the Café, and meet some new friends! Open from 9:45-11:15 on Sunday mornings.
