ARMS
ARMS (Active Retired Men in Service) is a group of retired men who meet the first Monday of each month for lunch and fellowship at PJ’s Place Family Restaurant, 600 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Matthews. This will be a CONVERSATIONAL meeting. (What a novelty!!) We’ll gather at the table, discussing a variety of subjects. Using either the printed or specials menus, we’ll identify ourselves to the waitress by first names and place our lunch orders, with more chatter ensuing. There will be a slight lull in the conversational level while we concentrate on calorie consumption. Banter volume and variety will renew with the last bite. Continuing to converse on weighty matters while loosening our belts, we will calculate a tip and wait for somebody else to make the first move toward the door. The last exchanges will occur while in line at the cash register and on the way to the parking lot. Another delightful ARMS meeting concluded with a total lack of silence. For more information, call Clonnie Lambert at 704-542-9809.
