On Sunday, January 31, 2010 the United Methodist Women of St. Stephen will be serving homemade soups, bread and desserts. Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. All donations will benefit Bethlehem Center-Charlotte 2010 Summer Camperships. Bethlehem Center provides quality child enrichment activities for school age children and youth and strives to develop innovative programs to improve the quality of life for at-risk families. Everyone is invited to the luncheon.

This is only one way that UMW supports mission. We support local schools with donations of school supplies, we sort clothes at Crisis Assistance Ministry, provide activities for Head Start classes, wrap Angel Tree presents, collect items for and prepare UMCOR health kits, layette kits and school kits, and support Room in the Inn. In 2009, $8750 was raised to support local, national and international missions through fundraising projects and personal pledges.

An Invitation For All St. Stephen UMC Women
If you are looking for a place where you can join others in making a difference in both your own life and the lives of others, then St. Stephen’s United Methodist Women invite you to membership with us. Joining this group of committed women is a unique opportunity — no matter who you are, what your age, or where in your life you are at this moment — to move in harmony with other women who have been responding to our Purpose for over one hundred years.

Attend a small group circle, a large group program, be a member at large, or volunteer for a fundraising project. There’s a spot for you in United Methodist Women!
