Youth in 7th-12th grade are encouraged to participate in the 30-Hour Famine. The event is March 5-6 -- sign in begins at 5pm on March 5. Fasting begins right after lunch on Friday and goes through dinner on Saturday. We have a ton of fun things planned as we raise money and awareness to help fight hunger around the world. Click here or the logo above to find out more about the 30-Hour Famine.

Click here for the registration form. See Mary Owen or Ginny Hough if you have questions or need a fundraising packet.

Matching Gifts
Your family or friends' company may be one of thousands that match employee contributions to World Vision.

Help your Friends & Family Donate Online!
Youth who want to set up an online donation page can go to www.30hourfamine.org/participants and create your own fundraising page. Our church's group account is 42576540. After you set it up -- tell your friends and family!! It's easy!

Famine is Going Green!!
We are collecting recyclables as part of our mission project during Famine weekend -- aluminum cans, glass bottles, plastic bottles (including caps), paper and cardboard, old printer cartridges and batteries. Please bring all recyclables to the church Friday night between 5 and 6 or Saturday between 10-2 where youth will be collecting and sorting them to take to the recycling center.

Sunday, March 21
10:50am
Youth Ministry Center

The service will be very special for us and the congregation as we incorporate everything we do during Sunday night UMYF. It's a chance to really show St. Stephen what an awesome youth group we have!

The theme of the worship service will be centered upon the “1°” philosophy that Brandon talked about at Garden City and in UMYF. Because the service will be youth-style and youth-led, we need every single one of the youth to help out in some way. Contact Andrew Tait if you can help.

Discipleship Groups
Short-term topic-based small groups designed to help youth engage Bibleical truths in a unique way and apply it to their lives.

WINTER SERIES 2010
January 10-April 4
Sundays, 9:45-10:40am in the Youth Wing

Confirmation (led by parents)
This class is designed for 6th graders and focuses on a grand sweep of major characters and themes in the Bible.

Discovering Eternal Truths Through Initiative Games (led by Ginny Hough)
Initiative games can help us learn a lot about ourselves, our relationship with others, and eternal truths. The games are team-oriented and require a full commitment from participants (must come each week and on time).

Creative Expressions (Susi Robinson & Jennie Latimer)
This group uses theme-centered visual arts such as music videos, skits, or murals to enhance worship, youth group, and other church events.

Revelation for Seniors
The Senior class is taking on the most misunderstood book in the Bible! We will watch a 20-minute video message from Dr. Efird each week and have discussion.

RINGS (Brandon Dirks)
This challenging group is for those youth who are ready to pick up their Bible and discover the amazing adventure.

Cooking Through the Bible (Catherine Rabb & Chris Withrow)
This group will explore the foods of the Bible and its modern counterparts by preparing foods, tasting foods, and examining the role that foods play in your spiritual life. Activity fee required; limited space.

Parables for Today (Tom Henderson)
This group will use the method that Jesus used - stories - to understand God. We will watch a short video each week and then discuss the parables.

Liturgical Dance (Meagan Barger & Elizabeth Barger)
We will learn several liturgical dances that will interpret certain worship themes for the congregation using hymns, worship songs, and contemporary Christian music.
