The Living Crèche: Children’s Christmas Pageant
St. Stephen UMC   -

Our children and youth led us in worship on Sunday, Dec. 10, as they presented the annual Christmas pageant, “The Living Crèche.” The pageant is made up of songs, scripture, and legends of Christmas. During the pageant, St. Nicholas invites all young children to follow him to the crèche to offer a gift of a canned good to be donated to a local food bank.

Reflect:

During this annual pageant tradition, we were all led in worship by the youngest of St. Stephen’s members, a fittingly symbolic representation of this season as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Reflect on what it means to have children so intimately involved in the telling of the Christmas story. How is our faith — and the faith of our children — strengthened when we allow for even the smallest, quietest voices to participate in sharing the Good News?
