As part of St. Stephen’s Mission, we invite all to “Grow in understanding God’s love through Biblical study and hands-on learning.”  St. Stephen United Methodist Church offers many ministries for everyone to actively participate.  The many ministries offered at St. Stephen strengthen prayer life, offer fellowship with other Christians, grow knowledge of the Bible, and help grow our faith.

For children we offer Children’s Sunday School, Music Opportunities, Preschool, Cub Scouts – Pack 118, Club 45, Vacation Bible School, service projects, and many other opportunities.

The St. Stephen Youth Ministry, for 6th-12th graders, is a dynamic program that offers multiple opportunities for youth to socialize, serve in mission together, grow in their faith, and to worship. Ministries include Sunday Morning Small Groups, Boy Scouts – Troop 118, Youth Choir and Handbells, Spring and Fall Retreats, Summer Mission Trips, Recreation Programs - Basketball, Confirmation for 6th graders, and middle school and senior high UMYF ministry groups.  Our UMYF year culminates in the summer with a spiritual retreat to the beach at Garden City, SC for all youth finishing 6th-12th grade.

St. Stephen is about creating and nurturing disciples of Jesus Christ, and our adult Sunday school does just that! Through our Sunday school ministry, people are invited to join a small group — a community — and be transformed by God’s grace through the study, praying, and fellowship of the class. We invite you to become part of one of our classes so that you may grow in your faith!

Our music program is exceptionally strong and is comprised of adult ensembles, youth ensembles, and music opportunities for children. We feature our music ministry at Easter, Christmas and at many other occasions. The children and youth sing and play bells throughout the year at Sunday worship and special events.

St. Stephen’s Recreation Ministry gives youth, children, parents, and coaches opportunities to discover and apply their growing faith by committing to a small group. Recreation provides for us the opportunity to practice living out the Christian life in real-world circumstances.  Check with the church office to learn about current activities.
